The mute nightingale

on

I woke up here
They call it “mental hospital”
They don’t understand what the mind is
The mind never gets sick nor old
The mind is like the sun or the moon
It is just there, up in the sky, with it’s ups and downs

I was so sad at first
They don’t even let me decide
I wanted to die… “That’s insane” They said
They don’t understand insanity
Insanity is a train of thought by the genius mind
Insanity is like a wave sleeping in the ocean waiting to be awake
I’m not a genius, I know that, but they care to ignore
I have to say that not everything was bad on this place
There was a beautiful nightingale just standing in the most oblivious place
It was forgotten, like me
It was broken, like me
It was misplace… Am I?

It was a mute nightingale
Mute for the world, but who cares? The world is so bizarre
Stringless bird of magnificent stamp
I should have heard it’s chant when I had the chance
I’m just an other deaf tone man
Waiting for a single’s note to be sung
Or for the executioner to come…

Obrigado colega poeta! Thanks for reading and I think the dark places on each mind are what the owner of the mind wants… Or ignores… Keep in touch!

Well, colega poeta, you got it better than I do!
And for the reason you described, we may think that we are loosing it… but sometimes we are just living our ups and downs
