A requiem in 6/8

on

Violins sounding in the midnight wind

Symphonic bliss for the lost ones

A requiem in 6/8, the dance of death is always so elegant

Relentless love seems to persist on this number

Music for the lone tonight

For the wealthy, some hollow treasure

And a lie for the hopeful

Don’t read me with that expression!

Some lies are as beautiful as a melodic contour

As strong as a thunder

As rich as a mine

And as dark as the night

Under this starry sky

A pure soul cries

A lie will always be a lie

That’s something I can deny

But for those who need to retrieve

There is a violin singing somewhere

Singing for them up to nowhere

A requiem in 6/8, with harmonic redemption.
