Her voice

Beautiful melodies find their way easier on the cold wind
Her voice was both, beautiful and cold
Her tragic song reached my ears, a painful shadow of grace
That’s how my heart went both, ignite and broken

Music was all I had when I walked on this world
Music was all she had on the far beyond

There she was, singing to her life’s grave
Here I am, listening to death’s eco in the abyss

Was she alive?
Am I dead?

Her melody of broken vows and betrayed dreams tainted my soul
My wondering eyes in despair ended her penance
We can’t go back, either to the grave, nor to be alive
Never the less the only thing we had was a goodbye song.

  1. I was thinking, oh this is so beautiful, and then “There she was, singing to her life’s grave
Here I am, listening to death’s eco in the abyss,” an unexpected twist, but executed so well to add so much depth to this poem, amazing.

Thanks!!!! I mean, for you to take the time to analyze this it means a lot! And, well, my intention is to mix beauty and darkness, sometimes is possible, sometimes is just a disaster… Thanks for reading and for your critic!!!
